Rachel Couban receives President’s Award for Outstanding Service

On May 30, 2024, National Pain Centre Research Coordinator Rachel Couban received a President’s Award for Outstanding Service.
Each year, the President presents a number of awards to recognize the contributions of individuals and teams within the McMaster community who have demonstrated excellence and outstanding commitment, and who have made significant contributions to their particular field.
In addition to her role with the National Pain Centre, Rachel is the medical librarian for the Department of Anesthesia and has also provided support with supervision, grant coordination, conference submissions and even teaching. Rachel has contributed to more than 94 publications, covering a range of subject matters such as reviews of drug treatments for COVID-19. In June 2023, Rachel celebrated 10 years of service with McMaster University.
